INDUSTRY

Last year LIFF held a range of highly popular events aimed at UK and Indian film industry professionals but also open to film professionals across Europe. This included:

  • A Pre-festival on-stage interview with Director Shekhar Kapur at the UK Pavilion during Cannes Film Festival (May 2011)

  • Industry Networking lunch attended by filmmakers, distributors, funders, lawyers and public sector including Film London and UK Culture Minister Ed Vaizey.

LIFF Guru Lounge

A series of 4 morning workshops supported by Skillset and held at BAFTA, which explored Indian/UK co-production, legal practice in the Indian film industry, acting and casting for Indian films and a case study on Reliance and their production work. Speakers included Anurag Kashyap, Dina Dattani and Patrick Von Sychowski.

LIFF Industry Events in 2012 will include a new range of Guru Lounge sessions and Masterclasses by leading filmmakers. More information on these will be available in May.
